Dirk Bäumker

Dirk Bäumker photo Dipl.-Ing. Dirk Bäumker, was born on 5. January 1966, only son of Heinz Bäumker and Bärbel Bäumker in Bonn

Dirk attended the St. Servatius primary school in Bonn-Friesdorf from 1972 to 1976.
Then he attended the Gottfried-Kinkel High School (1976 to 1982)
From 1982 to 1984 he served his apprenticeship with Wilhelm Trautmann butcher shop.
From 1985 to 1992 he studied food technology at the University of Applied Sciences, Lippe Lemgo.

During the time in Lemgo, he became acquainted with Bettina Bäumker, to whom he got married in October 1993. Together they have two children, Maximilian (1996) and Felix (2003).

His Hobbies are scuba diving, photography and skiing.

He has gathered vast experience as technical consultant to the meat industry when he used to work for companies like Lidl Fleischwerk, Kalle, Supralon and Gewürz Berger. Travelling all over Europe, his main focus of activity used to be with meat processors in Russia, Ukraina, Great-Britain, France, Netherlands and Switzerland.

1998 he founded meatec, offering the meat industry a modern means of information retrieval and procurement.

He is author of a regular column on technology issues that is published in German meat magazine »Die Fleischerei« as well as the Russian meat industry magazine »Новое мясное дело«.
